The Fragonard cowl was inspired by the paintings of Fragonard and the amazing beauty of the gathers and drapes of the garments worn by his very feminine models.
My cowl interpretation is beautifully textured yet so simple to make. It uses only 2 stitches, single crochet and double crochet.
The cowl is worked using a worsted weight yarn. It is perfect for an evening project as it works up quickly. The alternation of single crochet rows and rushed areas will keep you entertained.
The project uses about 200 yards, ideal for that lone skein of worsted weight yarn. I have to warn you, the pattern is addictive!
