Psychedelic Snowflakes

This is a gift for one of my mother-in-law’s friends. Irene passed away shortly after she had picked the yarn. I completed it for her using the pattern she had been so intrigued by and the colors she had chosen for her friend.

The pattern is Snowflecks by Janie Herrin. I changed Row 5 of the squares by reversing the direction I started the treble crochet from. (The pattern says to reach from behind. I went from the front.) I think it makes the snowflake stand out more.
