Preemie Outfit

There is a young lady who our church has been praying for who was pregnant. She was going into premature labor and we prayed for it to stop until the baby was viable. It did, but she still went into labor at 28 weeks. He son was born via C-section and was fighting to survive. The mother began hemorrhaging, and was also endangered. Again we prayed, and within 2 days the mother improved significantly. She was discharged from the hospital 2 days later, and given a room so she could stay with the baby. The doctors were talking about sending the baby to Atlanta because things didn’t look good. We continued to pray for the baby (his name is Colton) and 2 days later, he too was discharged from the hospital. He is doing very well and is now above 5 lbs. He is 3 weeks old now and very cute. I wanted to make him an outfit, so here is what I made. She received it yesterday, and was very excited and grateful.**
The first photo is of the main outfit with no applique on the bib. I have a photo of the bib with applique. I also made a little preemie jacket I made to fit him now (no photo here, will post in another post). The other jacket is for a 3-6 month old. He can grow into it. I made a little hat that I knew would never stay on his head, so I made a pull on cap and sewed the hat to it. As you can see in the photo, the hat and diaper cover fit now. The booties are for now also.
