Lace Mandala Pillow

Inspired by the open-work lace designs of Turkish Oya, Lace Mandala Pillow gives the illusion of a blooming Mandala flower in the resulting negative space creating a unique decorative throw pillow.

I started designing this pillow inspired by the classic Oya lace. The Mandala design happened on its own accord. Seriously, it was not my doing. :P

This pattern is quite versatile. Just like a Mandala, the color change options are only limited by your imagination.

The stitch pattern is easy and simple all throughout. The decorative edging and change of colors are the only exceptions because of which it falls under the intermediate pattern category.

The crocheted work involved is less than it appears to be. The negative spaces does half of the work for you. ;)
