I know the lighting is awful … I apolgize, I need to get rid of the bulbs in my dressing room closet and redo the lighting when I get back on my feet from my career change.

Anyhoo, I’m extremely pleased with how these came out. I made the large size, as I tend to wear thicker socks with slippers, and I have a wide foot. They’re for myself, so I’m not bothering to wet block. I used Caron Cakes in Lilac Frosting, as I am a crazy color slipper kind of gal. For the most part, the light grey and some lilac make up the side and instep. I decided to replace the bottom sole with plain black worsted from my yarn stash, as I just couldn’t see walking on Caron Cakes.

The pattern was a free one from the archives of the show Knit and Crochet Now. Only single crochet, chain and slip stitch were used. I will definitely be making these again, this has quickly found it’s way in to my ’ go – to ’ pattern file. The only thing I may do is actually work up two sole pieces per slipper and stack them for added thickness. Haven’t really decided on that yet.
