Baby Giraffe

Inspired by watching April the giraffe givie birth live on YouTube on my birthday, April 15, 2017, I decided to make a giraffe as a gift for a baby shower I had upcoming.

I used the pattern by Courtney Deley.

Following are some changes I made to the pattern:
I made the body and head in one piece.
I made the tail much shorter, 8 ch instead of 20.
I made bigger eyes and added a mane down the neck.
I made the spots in varying shapes, one being a heart on the rump.
I placed the front legs a little differently because mine turned out short and looked like saggy boobs when placed according to the pattern picture.
I added a bow tie and the initials of the baby on the foot.
