I cannot remember if it was the Snodgrass video or another one but a tip I saw for blades used for scrolling or curves in general is to stone the back of the blade when you first get it to round the back edge of the blade. This helps them cut tight radii a little more smoothly. You basically, turn on the saw and using an old sharpening stone or even some sandpaper attached to a wood block, rub it against the back of the blade to grind the sharp edges off. Make sure that you clean the sawdust out of the saw first because the sparks will fly.
