I’ve never done anything like that, but here’s a video showing how one guy installed Sugetsune concealed hinges:  https://youtu.be/UgRB0cPi1-I . He makes router templates and uses a pattern routing bit.

I bet Bentlyj has done something like this.

I didn’t look it up, but those hinges look pricey.
