Jim the system is a 3hp. I’m not sure of the cfm, but that’s something I’ve never understood anyway. The previous owner had this in a 3 car garage hobby shop (it was really impressive) and the system had been engineered by Oneida. There was a lot of 5in and 6in pipe with about 20ft of 8in trunk. Essentially I ran 5in and 6in as close to each machine as I could before reducing to 4in. At some point I’ll get a system design because I think I’d benefit from some smaller duct in a couple of areas.
The Milwaukee slider seems to work pretty well with just the small hose, I’d say 80-90% collection. I have a friend that runs his off a shop vac. The design is surprisingly efficient. That saw is a recent purchase, and I have to say I’m really happy with it. I have a Dewalt SCMS that has now become my jobsite saw and the Milwaukee is mounted to that cabinet with a Kreg fence system.
It not easy to see, but this also has the strobe dust bin sensor. When the barrel is approaching full it begins to flash, a handy option when there’s a lot going on. I highly recommend it.
