For the first time in all the years I have been at Woodworking forums I am again using my real name. My first forum, was done after a quick search, it was "Sawmill Creek" which supposedly made you use your real name, and your given email from your Innernut provider. So totally unlike any other on the web, they demanded the truth.
This was still back in the day of the "dial up", and after many years of looking for one that was worth poop, I'd finally found one. So anyhow I signed up for that POS forum, and in the process, got sniped, and my ISP got spammed to the point they had to shut down. Seeing all this BS traffic was essentially loaded to my account, I was signed up for my first woodworking web site, which I never returned to, and lost my best ever dial up account at the same time.
After that I went to WoodNet, and was there for a number of years. When I signed up there I was NOT going to use the other ISP I found where they had so so service, so I used an email I had for years of my life as SteveNannerhead, a guy in a big Banana hat at Jimmy Buffet concerts. Woodnet sold out, and it went South at the same time WoodSmith went to hell in a handbasket, seemed to be all the same sale, Ohhh gee, so it was. The "new" Owners fixed a lot of stuff that wasn't broken, does that sound familiar? A lot of people left, does that sound familiar?
Moved over to LJ's and that is where I met most of you that I know here. So you understand the move to here.
Current avatar, someone had asked what my PPE rig looked like. I had talked about my EYE-Muffs which are Ear protection at 32NRR, and goggles that are huge, and I can wear my kinda large eyeglasses under them without a lot of drama getting it all on. Over the eye and ear protection I wear a half face 3M Respirator with P100 puffs. I don't have a zillion $$$$$$ Dust Collection set up, and sometimes I am lax about turning on the few hundred dollar units I do have scattered around the shop. I am trying to be better, but knowing I am Dust collector compromised I wear the respirator, because I do have COPD, a gift from 42 years of smoking, and it could be argued it was direct cause of the open heart, and all the other crap I have. Thing is I can wear the respirator all day long now, back when I couldn't because I always had to remove it to smoke, DUH!!!!! I seldom take any of it off in the shop, I miss out on music wearing the ear protection, but I'm already deaf as a post, so further loss doesn't sound good, and I am the guy wearing "safety glasses" and yet with them on I have gotten FB's (foreign bodies) in my eyes that required medical treatment 5 times, so now I always wear googles, or a face shield in the shop.

Next, and while I was SteveN, which was my handle for a long time. I used the avatar below, and nobody questioned it. Everyone just called me Steve, but SteveN was for Steve Nannerhead, and that was me wearing my very large Banana hat I wore to Jimmy Buffet concerts, may he RIP.

I've used this brand since I stopped doing business in 2013 for the items I made afterward. I always expected someone to ask, if you are SteveN, why do you have another guys brand as your Icon? I suppose the print was too small in Icon form.
