Well, so far I have ordered two 1oz packets of aniline dye from Lee Valley, since I was getting a couple of other things/goodies. Have also looked at WC dyes as well. The LV dye went for $10/pop:

Natural Antique Cherry Aniline
Light Yellow Maple Aniline

Earlier, I watched a Charles Neil YouTube on popping the figure in maple and it appears to me that it is a two step process, and thus maybe dyeing the underlying veins, sanding back and finishing with something lighter/clear.

That naturally finished Granadillo and maple looks really nice! Just wonder how the Granadillo sap wood would look like next to the maple. Hmm…

BTW, my Incra I-Box arrived two days ago. Got it assembled yesterday and will make some test cuts soon. I just want to finish cutting my maple frame/lid pieces before switching back to the box-joint blade on the TS.
