Glad to help. I’ve been experimenting with veneering for a couple years now, and still haven’t done my first “real” piece, but I’m getting more confident and learning more from my mistakes lately, which is nice.
Because darned near everything I get here has been mail-ordered (at least all of my veneer), I can’t imagine working with big things. All of my practice pieces of veneer came out of a 12x12x6 box of samples from Veneer Supplies, which was a most excellent investment. There have been a few neat things mixed in, but for the most part, there’s been very little that I feel bad about ruining as I learn.
