We have a,small Lowes, no HD. Prices on rapid turnover items are the same as the large Lowes 40 miles away. Prices are higher on about everything else. Their excuse is each Lowes is in a different marketing district.
The local Lowes manager here has the personality of a horses a**. 14 year employee of Lowes wanted to transfer here due to aging parents. She never missed a day of work, had no children (no reason to need time off) , no husband, good health. He refused to accept her transfer as she was full time employee and she would upset his budgets, preferred to hire part time employee.
Both Lowes have dropped the Bosch 12 volt tools, said Bosch had stopped making them. Not true. HD in Augusta said the same as they also dropped the Bosch 12 volt line. Told the local Lowes manager that I found it odd they had to say Bosch had stopped making the line when Lowes simply dropped it. His reply was "tough" and walked away.
I usually go out of my way to shop in the Savannah Lowes or HD.
