They are top coats for wood or metal. It can go on your T.S. for example. 

The science i don't understand,  but is dissolved carbon, or quarts in very small particles.  YouTube N3 nano.

 It leaves behind a rock hard finish. I have yet to try it over Mono coat.

I'm putting on my dining room table now.
