You got me to do some research Mos. But try as I could, I couldn't find a good pic or any information on how the bubble is used on those Davis inclinometers. Just curious if it's a typical two marks and you center the bubble between them or if it's graduated like machinists levels? After some Ebay shopping, I think they're out of my price range but I was still curious about the precision of them.
My sample size is only 1, but the one I have does not have any graduations. The bubble is not a whole lot bigger than the "window" on the side, though, You're also manually setting the bubble level to a degree based off a 1/32" wide pointer on a 2" dial, so anything beyond "close enough" is probably outside the scope of that tools usefulness anyway, I would imagine.
Not really a before and after, but it's a thing now lol. Haven't touched the 12" inclinometer yet, but it's in great shape already. Might see what it looks like with just some cleaning and go from there.
I'll have to remember to check the vial, after reading the above again.
Also working on an EH Sheldon bench stop. Came with a bench and another continuous screw vise, but it's the main thing I wanted in that deal lol. If anyone has any EH Sheldon vises, bench stops, bench dogs, or other bench accessories they're willing to part with I'm all ears. Especially the swivel or hidden tail vises.

It took almost 2 months for the deal to finalize on the 12" that I got earlier this week, and then a regular at my regional MWTCA meet this morning had the 18" and 6" that we made a deal on, so... On to the next thing, cleaning them all lol
