I think I have this correct, but now I'm second guessing. If I'm looking to make a box with inside width of 6.25 inches and the boards will be 3/8" thick, then the outside length would need to be 7"?? Basically the inside dimension plus 2 x the board thicknes: 6 1/4 + 3/8 + 3/8
Working on designing some recipe boxes for two nieces that love cooking/baking. Have some 4x6 recipe cards and section dividers ordered, so will need to ensure they fit snug, but not too snug in the boxes. Plan to have a card holder of some type on the lid. Should be fun couple of projects.
Yes, I agree. The angle is one focus, but I've learned that there has to be equal care with the length. Bevels/miters can be challenging (oh how special when it all works perfectly the first cut), but now that I have my spline jig, I'm wanting to get more use from it!
