Wood i.d. help
Hello, I ordered a box of hardwood scraps for turning finailas and stuff it had a couple of 1"× 1" sticks that I am not familiar with very heavy very very hard. I would like to find a piece of this to turn a bowl out of. Any help would be greatly appreciated
look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a big hunk of the bowl I was turning.

It looks very similar to some Redheart that I have .
Bell Forest Products has quite a few blanks , and
photos may help you narrow down the species .
Top blank is Bloodwood , bottom one is Redheart.
