heres my new baby, a pit boss combo grill with side burner.gas on the right side (natural gas) conversion and a pellet grill on the left. weve had so much bbq and cooking talk on the patio i thought it was time to start a thread just for that topic. so anything you wanna discuss about outdoor cooking bring it on. show us your setup and share your techniques and recipies.

to start it off ive so far done a steak and taters on the gas side of my new grill. plan on smoking a duck on the pellet side this weekend to break her in. so far im lovin it.

I'm still using the Weber II I bought over a decade ago. Interested to see what you "pros" use and how you make it all happen!

I've heard of smoking a lot of stuff...houka...goncha...cigars...cigs....but I draw the line at smoking an Austrailian...( Duck)

I'm a BBQ newbie. I finished building our outside space last year, but didn't get a chance to use it apart from making a couple of pizzas.

I've got a 36" Blackstone Griddle set up for natural gas. I have a fitting on the back of the house for a generator, I plug into that.

Sorry, no pix. Similar to this, $199 when I bought in 2020.

i thought about getting a griddle but i dont think id use it enough to justify. plus i figure ill just get a griddle plate to lay on the gas grill side when i need it.

it's funny no one ever started a bbq thread on lj's. there were so many conversations about grilling and smoking,but they were scattered all over the place. i think it will be good to put it all in one thread. now go light your grills boys.

i thought about getting a griddle but i dont think id use it enough to justify. plus i figure ill just get a griddle plate to lay on the gas grill side when i need it.

I picked up one of these a while back, Lar.  Twin burner.  It is one hot mofo.  It will easily put a good char on a burger.  I like to use it to brown meat for stews.  It's better than a pot or skillet since the juice doesn't pool up and ruin the browning.

Add an adapter to fit it to a tank, and you're set (unless you want to buy bottles).

thats cool but i can just put a griddle plate right on my grill when needed ?
