Hi! My name is Peggy Beckerdite. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have been for nearly 47 years. Crocheting has been a passion of mine for nearly 45 years. My mother-in-law and her mother taught me how to crochet. I just love it. It has helped me to quit smoking, (yeah) and has saved my sanity more than once.
However, I didn't start my Piece's until 2010. In 2010 I discovered that when I broke my ankle when I was in my very early thirties, I also shredded all my tendons. Yea, yuck! I had several (5) surgeries in one year on that ankle and foot. Thus, I had to stay off it for nearly a full twelve months. So, thank God for knee scooters, wonderful husbands and crocheting! I made afghans until I had no room for them and got sick of the monotony. So, I took a couple of Craftsy classes and started making chemo caps and amigurumi animals. Relatives started telling me I should sell them and I was running out of room on my guest bed so I went to my first craft fair and was hooked.
Eventually, I designed my own pattern for a Thanksgiving Turkey and copyrighted it. I now have that certificate hanging on my den/studio wall. It is available free on Craftsy.com Here is a link for craftsy.

I am excited to see new patterns, try new yarns and attempt to design more patterns.
