Sansoo I’m fairly new to turning myself and often look for little things to work on to learn from. One of the things I’ve definitely learned is that the order of operations is critical (for me) to produce ‘nice things’ off the lathe. And some stuff happens way out of order (like applying finish to parts before working on other parts of the same project!). Since you obviously want to limit or ruminate re-chucking or really anything that causes the workpiece to move (aside from the obvious spinnie spinnie) a well thought our project flow has proven essential for me. And I’m still pretty bad at it, but I try!!
