awsum, the hair does not wrap all the way around.  It is just bare wood .  I thought about taking a carving tool and making a "crack" back there...just to make the whole little black duck experience complete, but don't have any carving tools.....
The nose has a 3/16 x 1/2" long tenon and then the hole is drilled into the body, I have one of those punches that make a small hole and have multiple sizes of hole on it.  I punch a 3/16 hole in the beard and stick the tenon through it in the appropriate position then glue in the nose with titebond....let it sit for 1/2 hour then hot glue the beard on the sides....do not push real hard on the beard or the hot glue will seep thru the material on the beard...likewise CA will too...don't ask ow I know this  ( DAMHIKT )
