Do you lightly glue the hinge to hold in place before screwing them down?

Sorry Cliff, I must have slipped, dropped over and missed this question.

As a duck, I don't wear clothes ('cept for the mankini on Sundays),  so solid timber, like big boys long pant, is out of my league.

Most of my boxes have been small, making hinging difficult and lately I've been concentrating on laser cut 3mm and 6mm MDF... which isn't too conducive to taking threads (screws for hinges)... so without further ado, to answer the question,  I'm unhinged and avoid using them.

Though a while back I've been toying with the idea of threads in thin MDF, so I may start hinging.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
