(I feel nearly as bad a D_W with his acorns)... but I think it's a tad better than šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘ for a great job.

Nice combo of woodying and lasering.

Two things if I may add:
Ā areas I was going to glue, I was afraid it might come apart over time. To prevent this I used toothpicks to also dowel everything together.Ā
The toothpics are a great idea for strength and alignment.Ā  If they are through toothpics (strategically placed) you can laser cut the alignment holes. Ā
Suggest using CA glue over shellacked spots... I haven't tried it, however, I often pre buff (heavy wax) and I don't worry about glue lines as the CA seems to have held well... well, well for the last 2 years.

Ā so I used a router to thin the wood from the insideĀ
If the media is a tad too thick for my laser, I layer.Ā  The rim around the doors could be an additional layer,

and the char can be scraped/sanded off, although it does have a good effect.Ā  The toothpicks are ideal for alignment.

BYW... would have looked bigger if you used metric. Ā

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
