I have about a dozen of these... Chines imported lumber (unless you are a RF and can find/afford local) is never the same dimension... just fractions of mm (even worse with bloody imperial) can turn a window into a door.
Who didn't use a backing board?
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
