I use a mix of coke and ammonia and an old tooth brush. Cleans them up great but don't make a shine. For stiff tumblers, I use a bit of dawn dish detergent. I've had some that were so crusty, I had to take the tumblers apart and clean. To get a shine, I have used very fine sandpaper but that will take the clear coat off the exposed brass. These look in great shape for 1950's doors.
