Sorry to burts the bubble RC, however, you should have used neutral rather than white... we are only talking a few shades, but the white tends to "pinken" the red a tad more than the neutral. Also to get a deeper red (they all seem to go Barbie when mixed with Timbermate (neutral or white)... Chinese red food colouring, the stuff you get from your Chinese stores (you've seen those hanging ducks or Char siu in Chinese fooderies)
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
