LBD  I call them staggered box joints.   Use an old Incra Jig on the router table,   Can do all types of spacing, about whatever one can dream up.    The Incra jig manual has this one in it.   Only thing with the Jig is making sure the router bits really cut the true width, I always check them...the Freud bits seem to be always good.   If the bit is a bit undersized or won the joints will be to tight and not fit, oversized bits tend towards sloppy joints.   Had this Jig for about 18 years.    Never let me down.
