I forgot to mention when posting my Lap Top box I used my Trade tools T21628 Hand plane to level the veneer inserts.
Hand tools??? Bloody traitor... I have a better use for that knuckle duster!
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
