GeorgeWest - yes the pegs in the workbench are drawbore. I got some plans for the bench somewhere and the plans recommended a drawbore. I think the offset of the holes was almost 1/8"?, so it took some pounding to get the pegs in.
I'm going to use the vise mainly as a stitching pony for making leather knife sheaths. I like how high the jaws are - don't have to bend over to see what I'm doing.
