Thank you all for the nice comments. I had to take off the head to clean it so I thought it would be good time to remove one of the risers so I could fit these pieces to the thread in the fool.

Hi Alex. I love chasing threads. The lathe was the first machine I learned to operate as an apprentice and threading was part of  it and I never forgot. My Southbend lathe only cuts English threads and the red feet have a 2mm pitch  metric threads. But I found that 2mm is very close to 13 threads per inch and they fit together very well.
2mm=.0788" pitch and 13 tpi=.0769"pitch
