From a different viewpoint Rick, replies might not have as much to do about the thread, it's quality, or completeness. In a world of everyone, well most people, use a hand held electric router, and a specific bit to do edge work today, and not near as many peeps use hand planes at all, much less to do edge work. So it could be a lot of "looks" as Splint mentioned, but not as many comments simply because they saw it was a "hand tool" thing, and they don't use hand tools. I think most everyone making comments here are what you would call hand tool users, or blended woodworkers.

I am blended, but beyond that it is shop storage, and I can see in it other possible uses, but I'd guess many didn't comment because it's not what they use themselves. Not sure if that is right or wrong, but it's a possible explanation.

So I say, yep, put in the process, for those of us using hand tools, and having a more open view of possible uses beyond the specific one you are using it for, I think you will note appreciation from the audience that does respond.

And thank you for doing so. Usually I can figure out how I would do something, it's seeing how others do something that can give you ideas, and possibly change how you do your work. IE: looking for a better way, or growth. Beyond some friendships here it was my initial reason from starting to go to woodworking forums. Didn't start doing that until I had been woodworking over 35 years.

Plus it's a great box. even if you didn't use it for tool storage.
