Interesting stuff, ya never know till ya try it. I think that thought process started a lot of firsts. Off hand I see the alligator look flaking off if it's handled much though, finish or not, unless you put some type of heavy sealing finish on it like they used to do with decoupage stuff. That was just this side of fiberglass work. It encapsulated things.
