The countertop for the egg table is just cedar. The outdoor kitchen is slate tile over cement board. I would have done the egg table to match, but it was just supposed to be temporary until I built an ‘add on’ the the kitchen, but…life.

I’ve got the CyberQ from Guru. It worked awesome for a long time, allowing me to log into it from anywhere to monitor the cook. The firmware went out of date and it started having issues (and I’ve got a somewhat complicated WiFi setup at home, which doesn’t help). It’s an old model so they didn’t have a way to update the firmware remotely. I sent it back to them at one point and they updated it, but I rarely use the WiFi connectivity. It was a cool geek thing for a while but I don’t really need it so I don’t screw with it anymore. Their PID logic and the blower are just so damn consistent. I love it.

The unit still works perfectly as a stand-alone, so that’s what it does!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".
