It's funny to see that safety requirements vary greatly around the world, it should be noted that the difference between industry, professional and do-it-yourselfer can also vary enormously. But eye protection for a professional woodworker is not mandatory in Europe. That sounds very strange, but it has to do with the fact that the mandatory shielding of the cutting tools must be such that many risks are prevented. Working without approved protective equipment can lead to heavy fines. This does not apply to do-it-yourselfers and is at your own risk.
