Yours turned out quite well. I've learned to buy glue in gallons when I'm doing cutting boards. At 50mm (About 2") thickness I get 5 good sized ones out of the bottle. That tumbling block pattern has been the hardest for me to get the angles just right. Hats off for your effort.
Some of my most creative moments have been when I've had to cover up an error in my woodworking.
