Hi Tom, I hollowed out that long tube with a series of different size drills- it is kinda stepped on the inside. I have a lot of long drills of all sizes- some are made with welded on extensions. The longest is 39". I used it to drill a hole in a 60" floor lamp made from a straight pistachio branch!! I had to go in from each end and got lucky when they met!!!
