Corelz125- thank you! I cut the dadoes pretty snug so it felt solid before I added the glue and screws.

Hairy - thank you! The project was a bit more involved than my initial thought, but happy with the outcome.
Thanks Ron! I plan to add some sort of feet. I ended up with a little rock so hopefully I can address that in addition to the potential moisture issue. I did really soak finish into the end grain, but still will take extra precaution with some sort of pad or attachment. As Pottz notes, too much effort to have it damaged by something that can be avoided.
