SIDE NOTE:

Just got done with all but the last wall of our house, which is all sanded, primed and caulked. The walls are all T-111 and the last paint job got pushed to the limit. As did the one before it.

On the previous one, the less than expert professionals told my future, as of yet not met wife, she needed all new T-111.  They didn't get the job. The ones who did back brushed and back rolled the paint, pushing it into the cracks and crevices 1,000 percent better than just using my commercial airless ever could.

Anyway, having got 2,000 of the 9,765.3 projects out of the way, I tackled the house this year. I used my Rotex running "Festool 493125 Saphir P36 Grit 5-Inch (125mm) Diameter Abrasive Sanding Discs."

The disks were remarkable. Both for how they held up and for dust collection. I sanded all four sides of the house using only about 5 disks out of the box.

Too, tied the sander to my Dust Deputy, you could not see ANY dust, but you could see the disks made short work of the old, bumpy latex and dried T-111 face.

My money is on that less than a couple tablespoons of dust escaped during the entire project.

Now, if I could get the same dust collection using the right disks on the Bosch, that would make it Platinum (better than gold).

For reference, information about the disks can be found here:
