Thanks, guys! Splint, we could put the washer and dryer on pedestals but then the closet pole above them would be too close to hang any clothes up. Wife wouldn't like the step up, either. When this washer breaks, I'm going to get a top loader. This front loader needs wasteful clean cycles or it stinks like sewage. Not that efficient if it has to run for four hours on a clean cycle. I run that after draining and cleaning the screen so that the clothes come out less smelly.
