Thanks, John. I guess I'm a pragmatist! I make a drawing of several options and then try out the easiest ones first. My next one for this was to  make a 21 degree set up in the mill and I'm glad the first one worked!

ps. I was thinking of the 3 machines I  would want to keep if I had no room for the others and they would be the band saw, the floor model drill press and the lathe!
