Very nice cabinet James, well made, and the write-up is good enough to be a step by step tutorial for others.
Question if I might, I need a clarification on the tacky glue and ironing method for veneer application. Was the glue the Titebond 3 in one of the photos?, and how does the ironing work?, does it soften the glue for adhesion?, why wait until it's tacky?
I tried veneering once, ended up using Titebond also, due to the noxious odor of contact cement but all sources I referenced said to use contact cement.
