I just cut without consideration for any kerf so assembly on the panel would be easy. After gluing up the panel I just put it back under the laser and with an offset fill, made the borders. I thought the char in the border cuts would make them black after filling with AquaClear, but the base wood (plywood) showed through as can be seen in the closeup. Next time I'll just mask it, lase, and fill with my TimberMate.
John, I like the ease of that box catch, but in what kind of hospital exam room hell can you snatch metal tongue depressors while waiting for the Doctor to step in?
