I had to go measure them Barb, I just used the scrap that was found... The first one was 17", the new one close to (but not quite) 18 1/2" Somewhere between 16" and 18" I suspect would be more than adequate! Here is a close-up of the blade attachment... This time, the end of the piece itself was sanded to 45°. the end cut off, a slot cut with the Scroll Saw, and the piece was glued into the slot... The fit was VERY good, so I'm not really too concerned about it coming loose... And if by mischance it falls and breaks out, it's very simple to replace...
