Thanks Kenny. I chose to use painted pine for the cabinet because it is cheap and readily available from my local big box store. I can get the oak there too. It also reminds me that these cabinets are not fine woodworking but rather utilitarian, so I don't have to beat myself up if something is less than perfect.. I think the painted look also throws the viewers attention on the tools rather than the cabinets themselves.
Thanks Ryan. The dovetails look less awesome the closer you get and of course I picked the best one to photograph. LOL. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised by how they came out to be honest.
