Hi Doctor. Corian cuts very easily on a table saw or band saw and routs easily too. This piece I finished on the metal lathe but I have cut a lot of it on the wood lathe with just HSS tools........ Carbide was not needed . I have found that I can get cut offs pretty cheap at countertop shops. But many of them don't use it any more. I have a good stock of it now thanks to my buddy Doug Scott!!!!!!
