re: Lithophanes. Photos carved into Corian

Actually Lithophanes were done a lot in the 1800’s using Porcelain. Lighting was usually with a candle, or sunlight through a window. The way it works, the dark area are thicker, letting less light to pass through. The light areas are very thin, so more light shows through. Old photos really look nice when done this way.
