Fibonacci gauges
finally the screws arrived.

Hi again again Craftisan’s.

Now we can call it done, the screws took some time time to arrive and I helped my brother build an IKEA kitchen in the weekend, don’t worry, I’ll not share that as a project, even it is made of wood, or should we say compressed wood dust, glue and plastic wrapping, smiles.

Finally all the parts can be put up on the table.
Book screws, washers, lock washers, Loctite, leather strop, coffee and knurled bolt.

Bought a few different sizes, to have in the drawer of nonsense, as shipping were half the prize.

Book screws.

Put in the gauge and then Loctite 222 added to the thread.

Knurled bolts with washers stacked.
I were lucky as these were the last I had, thought I had a lot.

Then it’s just to put it all together, in the correct way, using the one I have as a sample.

Finally functional gauges, the one in the top middle os the old one, I build years back.

But the wood looks dry and dull…

So my preferred tool treatment; Danish oil and wax.

Wauuuu that walnut really stoot out, after getting some oil.

Now some of my home made wax, it smells heavenly.

First apply, the a clean cloth and we got this silky surface.

Smiles.

Finally done, two of them will be gifts, to some people near me, but that’s another story.

Hope it can be to some inspiration, or a thought about proportions.
