How I Sell My Woodworking Projects
In this video I answer one of the most common questions that I get from woodworkers: How do I sell my woodworking projects?
In this video I share how I sell my work, but since this is just one point of view, I also interviewed 3 other woodworkers and I will release what they share in the next videos that follow.
Even though we are all woodworkers, we all build different things and have different experiences in selling our items. This will provide a lot more information and inspiration to anybody looking to sell their woodworking projects.

Nice video. Good point about having a construction background. I guess I kind of assumed most of us have a construction background. I didn’t realize many may not.
Losing fingers since 1969
Hello Todd, Interesting video. I’m not really into it for selling things, but I had a few simple boxes laying around that I decided to sell when we had a garage sale. I must be doing something right because I had a few people ask me if I would build them some boxes, that they wanted to use as gifts. They didn’t even blink at the price, and I wasn’t cheap… By the way, all seven boxes sold.

I’m not sure if my stuff would necessarily fetch any money lol. My wife sure seems to like them. I don’t have a construction background as far as building houses or remodeling. I did however build airplanes. I went into IT and wound up building a shop so I can maintain some kind of sanity lol. Thanks for the video!
MontanaBob – Nice man! Good to hear you had a good experience in selling boxes. I know I don’t make boxes because there seems to be a lot of time that goes into them and it is difficult to extract the money needed from the time involved, so I never make them for sale.
Rootbeer – It is funny a funny thing that I make a good part of my living from the shop and yet I can still find relaxation in just building for fun. So even though my shop may be full of projects with deadlines, if I clear the table and just get to build what I want, free of the constraints of clients, I still really enjoy it.

We have a lot in common.
After 30 years, I still enjoy the chance to build something for myself and still get relaxation and enjoyment from the whole process. For me, it’s all about not having the pressure to build the clients needs and the freedom to just do what you want in your own time frame. Just wish I had more me time….
Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.
