 I got the door assembly out of the clamps. So far so good.

And here is where all the time went. It took 2 days to get the finish right on the interior surfaces. I masked off any surface that would accept glue later.

Now I have time for a side project while the finish dries. My hinges came with #2 sized screws. If I open up the countersinks I can use a #4 which has a lot more holding power. I used my sacrificial block from cutting the hinge notches to hold the hinge.

You can see how much bigger the countersink is. This allows the #4 screw to sit flush with the hinge.

Once I got an acceptable finish on the interior surfaces it was time to glue up the box. I did a couple of dry fits to make sure everything would go as planned.

There are lots of clamps in a small space.

Some of you might have noticed that the hinge notches overlap with the shelves. Now I can finish the notch with some chisel work.

Now all the notches done.

And that completes the basic build of the box.

Next up will be more work on the doors.
