I have one more set of details to add to the door - a set of 3 circular recesses.
 
 First I make a template.

Then I add cleats to locate the doors vertically.

And add cleats to create a pocket and lock the position.

Then I remove the doors to make sure there is no glue on them.

And I add a strap across the back to keep everything in place.

Then I set up a guide collar on the router table.

Finally I can cut all three pockets. I made several passes to get to full depth.

Next I switch to the 1/16" roundover bit (with the bearing removed).

And I can then round over the edges of each pocket.

After all that I can remove the doors from the template. Success!

Except I declared victory declared too soon. If you look at the picture of the roundover bit you can see it is quite dirty. That's not dirt - it's oil. The next morning greeted me with this.

I swabbed the oily area with a cotton swab soaked in denatured alcohol. 7 applications seemed to clear it up.

My next step is to remove the ribs that have been on the outside of the top and doors.

Then I get out the 1/8" roundover bit and radius the edges. The bearing just fits.

Then I rounded over the top edge of the doors. Some hand shaping was required here.

The next morning had the oil stains show up again - but not as bad.

4 more applications of alcohol got it back to clean.

We'll see if I'm done with this cleanup. (Update: It took 2 more clean up sessions before I was done)

The last detail for the doors is a recess to add a small handle. I clamped the doors together.

And set up the router table with a bit and stops.

And cut the recess.

That's it for the doors. Next up is to work on the base and its details.
